Mezquita de Córdoba (Córdoba Mosque)

This mosque represent of the period of religious coexistence in early Spain. Catholic rule has fought to remove evidence of there ever being an inquisition in Spain. While the Catholics have done what they can to "purify" the people of Spain , there was a time when Christians, Muslims, and Jews could peacefully coexist in Spain. In the early days, Muslims would actually allow Christians to come into the Mosque to pray. King Ferdinand III ordered that the mosque be converted into a Catholic Cathedral, so now we see a Cathedral inside the mosque as pictured below, but much of the original Mosque still remains.

La Mesquita representa una época del convivencia de Cristianos y Musulmanes en España. El liderazgo católico trataron de quitar el evidencia del inquisición. Los Reyes Católicos trataron de "purificar" la gente de España , pero era una época cuando los cristianos y los musulmanes podían vivir juntos en paz. Antes del el Catedral fue en la mesquita , los musulmanes ha permitido que los cristianos rezar en la mesquita también. King Ferdinand ordenó que la mezquita se convierta en una catedral, entonces hoy hay un Catedral dentro de la mesquita.
