Torre de Oro (Tower of Gold)-
This tower was built in the 13th century as a military watchtower. It served to purposes: To control traffic on the river, and to protect Sevilla from attack.
Esta torre fue construida en el Siglo 13 para dos resones. Para proteger Sevilla de ataques y para controlar el tráfico en el río.
Catedral de Sevilla-
Antes de esta Catedral Católica había construido en el siglo 16 , ha sido un Mezquita Musulmán. El unico parte del mezquita que todavía esta allí hoy es el torre de Giralda. Cuando Ferdinand II conquistó la mezquita, destruyó la mezquita y construye la catedral en lugar de la mesquita. Las vistas desde el torre esta en los últimos fotos de esta publicación. El tumbo de Cristoforo Colon esta en esta Catedral.
This Cathedral used to be a Muslim Mosque before King Ferdinand conquered Sevilla in the 16th century and had it converted into a Catholic Cathedral. The only part of the original mosque that remains today is The Giralda bell tower. The view from the tower is shown in the last photos of this post. Christoher Columbus is buried in this Cathedral.
